Christmas Project..and Disneyland vacation

I have not been good about keeping up with this blog...it has been such a busy and fun month.  We had a family vacation to Disneyland mid November.  It was so much fun!

We stayed at the paradise pier Disney Hotel...it was so awesome!  I loved the Disney Cartoon room...like a little movie theatre with just disney cartoons...

Rick's sister Vicki came and brought slides, pictures, letters and journals of Rick's parents.  It is so amazing!  I decided my Christmas Scrapbook project was to make a scrapbook of their courtship journal.  It was a crazy week since I had 3 days to get this done so that we could scan a copy for snapfish books....I still can't believe I got it done...I made 3 paper copies of 25 pages...so 75 pages in all...Here is the result..

Parents of Suicides Retreat...lots of Scrapbooking

I just got home on Monday night from the Parents of Suicides Retreat in Columbia, TN.  This is my second retreat...so awesome to meet so many wonderful people that understand my loss.  I love being able to talk about Jason.

Here I am sharing my scrapbook of Jason..

I am so glad I have been able to attend...it has helped me so much.  It is a little hard to come back home...you feel so much love and acceptance at the retreat..miss all the wonderful hugs.

I did alot of scrapbooking before I left for the retreat...getting ready.  I find that I like to redo pages that I did long ago...here are some new ones:

I love my scrapbook room!  Time to go play...

Fall is here...yay...Visit with Mom

It finally feels like fall...even had snow a few days ago in Salt Lake City.  I am ready.

I survived my visit with my mother...She is early alzheimers so she repeats herself constantly...but it was a great visit.  We did alot of scrapbooking and she loves when I make her some pages.  We went to the zoo with both girls and all the grandkids when she was here and then had dinner with the whole family at chuck a rama.    She loves Antelope Island so I broke down and got a pass.  We made 3 trips over there..

Here are the pages I made for my Mom while she was here:

I find that I like to scrapbook a variety of pictures ..but I always come back to needing to do pages of Jason to keep the memories alive.  Here are the Jason pages I have done in the past 2 weeks:

It is emotional to do these pages...The reality one really brought the tears...

Christine opened up the piano to do some repairs and found 3 unopened notes to me for Mothers Day from many years ago.  The "Notes" page has Jason's note to me...It was teary to open these precious notes from many years ago.

I also have done the following pages....always a variety...that is what I love about this hobby..

I am starting to get ready for my retreat in Tennessee on the 20th.  It is a Parents of Suicides/Friends and Family of Suicide Group.  I was fortunate to go last year.  It is so awesome to meet these wonderful online friends that are always there for me..

I am forever grateful for the time I have to spend with my daughters and grandchildren.  I love my scrapbook room and spend hours each week creating...
I am thankful to know that families are forever and that I will be able to see Jason and Erica again.  Such a blessing!
