New Year...should start a blog

Decided that I should get with the times and start a blog of my life...maybe better than trying to journal.
We had a great Christmas this year....

We took the whole family to "This is the Place".  We had a great time riding the train, learning to square dance, making crafts, visiting Father Christmas and seeing the live nativity.  If you have never gone...I would recommend it.

We took Liam and Joelle to see the Spoken Word program and concert on the 19th with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

We had our second annual "Grandma's Slumber Party" on Wednesday, December 22nd.
There were new pj's, new snowman blankets, christmas movies, popcorn..and lots of fun.

Christmas morning we went to Chris and Jared's to watch the kids open their gifts..

We went to home to relax before Stacy, Justin plus Chris, Jared and grandkids came over about 1pm.
The first thing to open is our stockings...Stockings were always a big deal before Jason died...I could not bear to put them up for a couple of years.  We now take a few minutes to remember Jason after everyone opens their stocking gifts.  We remembered how Jason was so thoughtful in giving gifts at Christmastime.  One year he had Rick for his stocking...he spent hours downloading CD's of oldies for him...Joelle remembered the Keyboard she got from Jason.  We also remembered the Bath and Body items Stacy got...so many due to the clerk flirting with Jason.

The big tree is in the basement....I was told to "tone" down the number of gifts this year...I did not do so well..

We feel blessed to be living in Utah.  We have so much to be thankful this year...jobs, family, and wonderful grandchildren.
