Parents of Suicides Retreat...lots of Scrapbooking

I just got home on Monday night from the Parents of Suicides Retreat in Columbia, TN.  This is my second retreat...so awesome to meet so many wonderful people that understand my loss.  I love being able to talk about Jason.

Here I am sharing my scrapbook of Jason..

I am so glad I have been able to attend...it has helped me so much.  It is a little hard to come back home...you feel so much love and acceptance at the retreat..miss all the wonderful hugs.

I did alot of scrapbooking before I left for the retreat...getting ready.  I find that I like to redo pages that I did long ago...here are some new ones:

also a few grandkid pages:

I love my scrapbook room!  Time to go play...

Fall is here...yay...Visit with Mom

It finally feels like fall...even had snow a few days ago in Salt Lake City.  I am ready.

I survived my visit with my mother...She is early alzheimers so she repeats herself constantly...but it was a great visit.  We did alot of scrapbooking and she loves when I make her some pages.  We went to the zoo with both girls and all the grandkids when she was here and then had dinner with the whole family at chuck a rama.    She loves Antelope Island so I broke down and got a pass.  We made 3 trips over there..

Here are the pages I made for my Mom while she was here:

I find that I like to scrapbook a variety of pictures ..but I always come back to needing to do pages of Jason to keep the memories alive.  Here are the Jason pages I have done in the past 2 weeks:

It is emotional to do these pages...The reality one really brought the tears...

Christine opened up the piano to do some repairs and found 3 unopened notes to me for Mothers Day from many years ago.  The "Notes" page has Jason's note to me...It was teary to open these precious notes from many years ago.

I also have done the following pages....always a variety...that is what I love about this hobby..

I am starting to get ready for my retreat in Tennessee on the 20th.  It is a Parents of Suicides/Friends and Family of Suicide Group.  I was fortunate to go last year.  It is so awesome to meet these wonderful online friends that are always there for me..

I am forever grateful for the time I have to spend with my daughters and grandchildren.  I love my scrapbook room and spend hours each week creating...
I am thankful to know that families are forever and that I will be able to see Jason and Erica again.  Such a blessing!

Scrapbooking Back to School Pictures...lots of scrappy time!

I have had a great week ...worked Monday and Friday..so had lots of time at home Tuesday to Thursday.  I even did lots of cooking...fall weather is coming..and time to pull out the crock pot.  I made a chicken and rice casserole on Tuesday..and Thursday a stew...both times with homemade rolls.

Here are the back to school pages:

Stacy wanted a page done with comparing baby pictures of Justin and Dominic.  They look so much alike..

I also worked on a couple of early marriage dating layouts..

There is always the need to scrapbook Jason...I have been going thru his journals...here are the 2 that were completed this week:

I had a great time at the scrapbook expo...spent way too much money..but the deals were too great to pass up.

I also gave a talk in sacrament meeting last Sunday...ya..pretty amazing..only my second talk.  The subject was family history..so easy to talk about.  I have been able to trace one line back to 467ad...King of France.

My mom is coming to visit on Tuesday for a week...should be fun..but also challenging.

Finished Reunion Scrapbook...now some early marriage pages...

I have finished the family reunion scrapbook..my goal was 20 pages...made it by the 31st.  They had a deal on snapfish for 50% off photo books...so sent original to my Aunt Janice to thank her for all she did for me for the reunion..and 2 snapfish books for mom and I.

Here are the remainder of the reunion scrapbook pages:

I have been going through slides to get them scanned.  I found a few slides from our newlywed days...and did a couple of pages..so fun.

I am looking forward to the scrapbook expo next week.  I am signed up for 2 classes..and will have a great time shopping..

Life is pretty good...I have the perfect part time job, time to spend with grandkids, a housekeeper, and an awesome scrapbook room and time to play in it.

The only thing that would make it better would be to have Jason here..but that can't happen...
