Scrapbooking Reunion Pictures...time running out for spending time with Grandkids

I have spent the past week scrapbooking pictures from the family reunion at Donner Lake in July ..

I have also had fun scrapbooking grandkids..and our trip to the zoo.

I have loved all my time in the scraproom.

I have worn this necklace since 2006...and today I looked in my purse and thought it was lost....I took it off about a week and a half ago for my massage and put it in my change purse zipped...I have been so upset for the past 2 hours... I was finally giving up and ordered a new charm...when I thought to look under the couch...there it was... what a blessing!!!

The summer is almost over ...grandkids start back to school.  I have tried to get the kids a chance to spend the night the past week...We had Joelle, Liam and Lucas....still need to get Max and Dane this week....

I love all the time I can spend with all 6 grandkids...We had Lucas overnight on Friday night..and then got Dane in the morning so Christine and the older 3 could run a race.  We had fun going to the pool and watching movies.

I am looking forward to a busy week..working, scrapbooking, babysitting Dominic, massage (love them), and a dentist appt.

Family Reunion, Christine's anniversary scrapbook pages

I was able to go to California on July 29th for a Ekegren Family Reunion (My Mom's family).  We had 13 out of 15 first cousins attending... We stayed at cabins at Donner Lake.  It was great to be able to connect again with cousins that I had not seen in over 20 years.

Here is a picture of my mother and her sisters..

I decided since Christine's 14th anniversary is tomorrow that it was time to scrapbook some of her wedding and engagement pictures:

Happy Anniversary Jared & Christine...14 years

I love having a scrap room to play in...I can spend hours.

We have booked a trip for the whole family to Disneyland in November..the grandkids can't wait.

I have so much to be grateful for...time with family is the best.....  There are always those moments when I miss Jason so much it hurts though...he is always in my heart.

Scrapbooking...found journal..heading to CA

I found an online journal that Jason had...I keep finding his writing ...even 5 years later.  I have created the following pages with some of the journal entries:

The first page...I redid ...not sure which one I like the best..

I also have been having fun doing this page of Dominic.

and this page of Stacy..

I love my scrap room...I have more room to store stuff...so more scrappy shopping.  I think I have a scrapbook paper addiction...

I am packing tonight for a trip to CA.  The Ekegren cousins are having a family reunion at Donner Lake starting on Thursday.  I am heading tomorrow so I can have a chance to visit Jason and Erica's graves.  I can't go to CA without doing that.

It has been an emotional few days finding Jason's writings...he was so troubled.  I miss him so much...

Scraproom Done...Life is good..time is such a blessing

The scraproom is finally finished...Rick finished putting together my new chair and IKEA drawers (not his favorite thing to do).

Here are the lastest pages:

I am still enjoying my part time job at Conexus.  It is such a perfect job for me....I work 2 days..and leave when I get my job done..sometimes 3 hours..sometimes less.  I have the best boss.  I also work only 5 minutes away from Stacy and her family.  I can either help babysit so she can sleep...or go to lunch and shop.

I am enjoying watching Dominic once a week.  He was so giggly yesterday.  I took Joelle with me so she could get some time away from "those brothers" .  She could watch the tv shows she wanted ..and we went out to lunch and did some shopping....her favorite.  Dominic was so good for us..

I need some newer pictures of Dominic...will have to work on that.

The kids are enjoying our neighborhood pool...we are going tonight about 7...will bring my camera this time.

The next few weeks will be busy...I am heading to a Ekegren family reunion on the 27th...should be fun to see cousins I have not seen in over 20 years.

Thankful for time with Grandchildren and Scrapbooking

I am so blessed to live so close to my daughters and grandchildren.  I also have time to spend with them and to enjoy my new scraproom.  I feel good when I can help my daughters...I was able to babysit Chris's kids so that she could take Max to the eye Dr..and I also watch Stacy's baby Dominic one day a week so she can sleep after working nights.
Here are pictures from babysitting the boys the other night...  they love taking a bath at grandma's house...  Lucas was so cute yesterday...they came over and Lucas asks "Grandma can I take a bath...I am dirty"  ...

I am having fun organizing my new scraproom..and have been busy scrapping...
Here are some new pages.  It amazes me sometimes how they come together for me..

I found some cute pics of Christine's 2nd Birthday..

I had to remember the mints that Audrey brought to Jason's grave..so made this page..
Last page this week...was the last family picture with my parents before my Dad passed away..

I have been so sleepy lately...sleeping in...a little frustrating..

I love to shop for grandkid clothes and scrappy stuff... This week I had lots of fun shopping for grandkid clothes...Children's Place had a great sale..and Kohls had a 30% off coupon...always dangerous.  Liam and Max got "Angry Birds" T shirts...I think they wore them for 2 days straight before Mom could get them off to wash them..

When the going gets tough...Grandma goes shopping...

The weather is finally feeling like summer...the grandkids are enjoying coming over in the evening to our neighborhood pool...will have to take some pictures.

I am still organizing my scraproom...will take more pictures..

Moving into Scraproom

The Scraproom is finally done...it is so awesome.

I am having so much fun putting the stuff away.  I hired a couple of teenagers from the ward, Susan and Michelle Thurgood, to help me on Tuesday.  They were awesome!

I love the shelves that my builder, Tony Allred, built for me.  I have decided to have him build another set.  They are perfect for storing albums, pictures...

I finished 1 scrapbook page of a dream I had of Jason..

I love spending time in my scrapbook room..it is so huge..got my music from my ipod going with oldies.  I am such a lucky girl...

more travels...Texas

I just got home from a trip to Texas for my Nephew's Graduation.  I am so proud of him.  He is such a great young man.  He is heading to college in a couple of months to Ole Miss.

I am glad I don't live in Texas..it was 103 and humid...came back to Utah..high in low 70's.

My scraproom is coming along great..should be able to move in next week...can't wait.

I have done a few pages in between trips to CA and Tx:

I have been reading the book "Jesus Wept, Understanding and Enduring Loss" by Joyce and Dennis Ashton.  It has helped me so much.  It openly describes all the "stupid" comments people make that don't understand the loss.  It also helped validate that you can only compare our own trials and losses...and not compare to others.

It feels so good to be home..nice quiet house...laundry going...maybe some scrapbook time.
